Hit the Beach with a Fresh Wax

Bikini Waxing Honolulu

There’s so many cute tankinis, bikinis, thongs, high waists, cutouts, one shoulder, and your traditional one piece. What they all have in common is that with all of these come the need for a bikini waxing regimen.

Removing unwanted bikini hair doesn’t have to be a chore. At Helen’s Haven, you can get your MedSpa and spa services, including waxing, taken care of in one visit. Here’s a breakdown of the difference between a bikini wax and a Brazilian wax.

Traditional Bikini Wax:
This type of waxing removes the hair right around the pubic area, but not on the top. It’s a good choice for those who prefer to wear swimsuits that have more coverage. If you plan to show more such as with a thong, this isn’t for you. You’ll need a more elaborate wax.

Extended Bikini Wax:
Removes more of the hair in your pubic region but not all of it. This is great for thong bikini bottoms that don’t reveal the inner thigh area. If you prefer to keep your area relatively hair-free but your bathing suit and a bottom much like a boy short bikini bottom, this is the best waxing style for you.

Brazilian Wax:
With a Brazilian wax, all the hair encompassing the pubic area is removed except for a small strip. Sometimes it’s referred to as a ‘runway strip’. This is definitely necessary for anyone who wear traditional bikini bottoms, thongs, and string bikinis. Brazilian waxes also can include removing the hair around the buttocks and inner thighs.
